Family Trees: Nancy Hutton to Robert the Bruce (1)

In January 2012 I first investigated the family tree of my grandmother, Nancy Hazel Hutton, to Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland. This had been a family story which a cousin had investigated and confirmed so I decided to have a look myself -  Royalty-Robert II.

Robert II was the son of Marjorie Bruce, the daughter of King Robert I (the Bruce) and Walter Stewart.

Since then I have located another family tree linking Nancy with Robert the Bruce. 

The first section of the first family tree - From Nancy Hutton (my grandmother) to Robert the Bruce (my 21st great grandfather) - is the same in the first tree until we come to Sir James Dunbar, 1st Bart of Mochrum (died 1718) m. (1679) Isabella Nicolson (daughter of Sir Thomas Nicolson). The route to King Robert II then continues via the Dunbar family to the Stewarts instead of via the Livingston and Douglas families.
